Where oh where have I been? Well trully it's just that I haven't done much ArTsy wise but yet I've had some things go on. My oldest graduated last year from High School & started college, my youngest switched schools & is a freshman. All of which is making me Old! LOL

I went into business with a friend by putting my art work, vintage & antique goodies, & Celebrating Home products in her shop. Taught a class only to have to move out after a few months.

I am now in booth #39 at the Auglaize Antique Mall in Wapakoneta, OH (right across the street) So a lot of time & effort has gone into that.

One good thing has come from all of it - I have my own spot selling my wares! It's very exciting & I love decorating my booth & finding sweet treasures to sell! I only hope it does well! I have a some "JillzWhimzy" creations in it as well :)

I am still working F/T driving school bus & P/T as Optician so staying bizzy.

I went on a lovely weekend trip this month to Maryland with my Mom to the largest doll show by charter bus. What a super fun excursion it was. I brought home a darling little antique girl I will have to take a pic of her she's precious!

Over the summer I had a total thyroidectomy & was found positive for cancer. On the bright side the nodule was small & I underwent a radioactive treatment. My cure rate was 95%. I am feeling well & thankful that I was so fortunate & that I did not put off surgery.

Gearing up for Christmas I had hopes of making some creations but alas have not, however the tree is up & some presents are bought.

I have no idea where the time goes. I haven't been very productive lately in terms of art & I have missed it dearly, I also haven't been blogging as is quite evident. I didn't feel like I had anything worth mentioning really.

The summer went way to fast. On a positive note I did get to exhibit my "Fairy Tree" picture at Mac-Worthington Gallery in Columbus, Ohio.

Currently I have the above piece "Moonlight Swim" on exhibit & will be going to the artist reception this Sat. 20th from 6-9. If you are in the area be sure to stop in & say hello! I will be looking for some other gallery's & venues in the upcoming year.

summer luvin had me a blast....

the boys built a Pergola over Father's day weekend this summer, then our friends neighbor was throwing away this pond - of course they thought of us & we were too happy to recycle it.

Upon getting it settled my oldest decided to test the water, of course my youngest jumped in as well!

Too funny - huh

Well this summer has gone too fast - I haven't been all that creative of late but Tony the gallery director for Mac Worthington has been encouraging me to get some more stuff made!

So there is a large canvas picture in the works of mermaids of course!

y Thank you to Bonnie in MD she placed a custom order for a dark chocolate cake topped with a strawberry from my Etsy shop.

Upon receiving this she was so pleased she in fact ordered a custom vanilla cake topped with a cherry!

Of course one cherry just didn't seem like enough :) Yeah!

I do like the fruit topped ones - don't you?

Here is my latest little creations "HAIR POSIES" fabric & button flowers on bobby pins. Today I will be making some pins & headbands as well.

I will have these at my booth this Saturday the 12th Otterbein Cridersville Fun Festival in 100 Red Oak Dr. Cridersville, Ohio.
The Festival will be held from 11-3

There will be horse drawn carriage rides, pirate ship, train rides, crafts, fun for all ages. Admission & parking are free!

A free concert will be provided by the Air Force Band of Flight "New Harmony" ensemble in preparation for their world tour!

Art Opera is almost upon me!!!

I had my doubts whether I could / would even be able to go.

My sweet endearing Grandmother passed away.

Thank you for the prayer requests.

I am dealing the best I can.

I really was thankful to have Art Opera as something to look forward to.

Then I had 2 different roommates to help with lodging & both have canceled due to unforseen circumstances.

I would never have been able to afford the hotel by myself.

Now my awesome Mom has saved me by being ever encouraging, & driving me there plus sharing the lodging!

Understand my Mom is not into Art!

I know that she will have a blast though - she is taking 2 classes & neither are any I'm in!

I can't wait to see what she does.

I am taking a total of 5 classes & think they will only help give me some new techniques!

The pics above are of the instructors & project demo's.

So I'll be off to Red Banks, N.J. from Wed. 6th to Sun. 11th!

Phew if ever a get-away "calgon" moment was needed it's now!

I'll be sure to show you what I make when I get back.

for my sweet Gram

Gram is 92 & currently in the hospital with multiple masses of cancer. She is on hospice & we are so hoping for her to pass with as little pain & time as possible. The past few days have been very rough for her & I. She has been such a dear to me all my life & it will be very hard without her but I want her to go on & be well & at peace. thank you

Last Saturday I had an interview with a art gallery in Columbus, OH to become an exhibitor.

So after work the family & I headed an hour & 45 min. to the "big city" to see what they'd say.

I am so very excited, humbled & just plain pleased to say that I am an ARTIST.

I have been accepted into the Mac Worthington Gallery & will have my first piece in the July show! I will be featured on the website year round & will also be in two other shows this year.

Wow - huh? The director decided that I should also think a bit larger & do some bigger scaled pieces soooo I am up for the challenge. It appears that my Altered Art technique will offer a different take that they are excited to launch for me.

I will of course keep you posted & you may certainly check it out via the web. I will be adding pieces to the webite hopefully this weekend, stay tuned for more breaking news & here's hoping that spring may find us soon!

I'm slowly coming out of my "funk" of sadness since losing Jack I know it's crazy but I really am a terrible sucker for animals.

I miss my fur baby & have begun looking for a new one.

On the plus side my kids are good & Adam is doing Baseball.

Adam also graduated from "tween to teen" (his words) as in big 13! yep it hardly seems real that I now have 2 teenagers - yikes! Survived his sleepover party with 3 other boys.

Fun find of the week my new Barbie retro Tee came it's from Avon. I'm an Avon rep so if you need one let me know I'll see if I can't get you one. Notice the umbrella & boots too.

I worked some more on the domino pendants just not feeling all that creative or anything else much, but moving along I'm trying to find peace & smile.

My dear Jack

This was my sweet boy or as I would call him "Baby J"

Jack my dear 4 yr. old Shih Tzu

Jack was born with kidney disease & succumbed to it last night, unfortunately & thus has left me broken hearted.

Jack never new he wasn't healthy & had the best disposition of any dog I've ever known.

He was a darling among dogs.

I know everyone that loses one feels it, but honestly Jack never growled, never new a stranger, & was the most friendliest fur beast ever.

Jack was in love with our guinea pig & always wanted to play with him.

He was our Miniature Schnauzer Belle's puppy or so they each thought.

He enjoyed keeping your toes warm or laying calmly on your lap. And with a basket of toys only played with one (squeaky shoe), heaven forbid it get stuck under the couch. Although he loved a chew on his bone.

When he would get chilled he enjoyed his t-shirts & would even reach his paws up to put it on.

Jack wasn't into tricks but he knew the word t-r-e-a-t.

He never misbehaved other than the shred of an occasional tissue. It's almost hard to believe he could be so perfect, he did seem like a furry little angel.

Rest in peace Jack without sickness for you are already sorely missed.

And so this Jill is without her Jack.

I recently found these adorable "Bambi" boots on http://www.shoebuy.com/ & they were too cute to pass up? If you love shoes they really are very reasonable & shipping was FREE.

I was shopping at my local fav T.J. Maxx & found this domed plate stand & of course had to have it! How cute is it with my faux cupcakes?

Next is my FAV candle's made by http://www.swancreek.com/ they have the best scents (as I luv the baked food yummy smells) There candles are made of soy & burn clean. The last local store to carry them sadly went out of business so I either will order online or road trip!

I decided to make some domino & scrabble pendants today so I'm enjoying my candle scent & listening to Lady AnteBellum's newest album "Need You Now"

Lisa Kettell is the hostess with the mostest & this is trully her baby she will not dissapoint. She has assembled a bevy of super talented woman for instructors & it is hard to choose from. I've been fortunate enough to meet a few of them & they are just Fabulous!

hello my little dear blog friends I'am no longer M.I.A.

sorry for my absence - I've missed it here.

First I gave up art yes I heard that gasp - it wasn't because I wanted to but because I turned full focus in the fall on studying for a state board exam.

Next followed the holidays, & now the new year brought a family illness where I spent 2 weeks when not at work, up at the hospital.

All in all I'm a lucky girl I have to say. I'm back in the saddle again though as far as Art.

I just yesterday attended at my local scrapbook store an ATC class.

Shock among shock that anyone in my town even knew what that was.

There were 6 gals besides myself. The instructor Aimee was a lot of fun & can be found at www.aimeeinohio.blogspot.com

The cake plates were the only other creative thing I've even remotely been up to, however I sold 3 on Etsy along with 2 orders of my faux cupcakes this year so far. Woo-hoo!

It's good to be back to blogging, the kids are back in school. My challenge

Recently I was commisioned to do something very fun with free reign on creativity.
The challenge: to create 2 pieces of art for a sister & brother, using ephemera contained in her mother-in-law's vintage "button box"
Now this button box was mine to keep - yep I know what you're thinking how lucky! But I had to use the front & back of 2 postcards on each piece. I requested a photo of them as children to tie it together more.
So I did embrace this challenge & the box of buttons with vintage post cards, & keys & ran with it!
The pics were taken with my phone & are not very good but the collages turned out pretty well. Here's how it played out:
Step 1: paint background using walnut ink onto a sheet of canvas.
Step 2: choose my ephemera, including postcards, buttons, keys, pic of the 2 recipients
Step 3: begin gluing into place
Step 4: Matte medium over entire piece
Step 5: frame
Simple & fun for me & the smile was worth it~
She was surprising her brother with it & I'm eager to hear how he liked it.

Did you read yesterday that Aesop's Fable may have been true?

Turns out that these clever birds "Rooks" have been studied & are in fact quite smart. They figured out that by dropping pebbles in a tube it would elevate the water level thus in turn raising up a worm as well. It was pretty interesting. I've always liked that crows love things that are shiny & pretty. Trully a girly bird at heart wouldn't you say? Plus one of my favorite movies is "The Crow." They also happen to be the perfect bird for Halloween which I so love.

Well after recovering from the big 4th of July party hosted at my house. I haven't done anything except work.

Summer is going by quick. I feel the need for a wee vacation.

My poor dog is so petrified of the little pops that's been going off in the neighborhood lately.

I admit I am a Book-a-holic!

I've said it before & I'll say it again; I own more books than I can probably read in a lifetime & still I buy more.

I can't help myself I love books. I dream of the day I retire & can sit & read endlessly if I so desire....

I love all kinds of books too! I don't know if there is any hope for me or not. But there is just nothing else like a good story to take you away (almost like Calgon)

I admit I love to shop & if it's a deal I'm even more excited!

Here's some fun finds that I got recently. I work with a lady that always tells the customers let me know when you find something you just can't live without.

Here's my CLW-out goods.

First are my $9.00 flea market finds. Which consisted of vintage sheet music "The Rosary", framed print Victorian ladies, hankies trimmed in lace, & a hand embroidered dresser scarf with a lovely lady, an aluminum pin/trinket box.

Secondly my E-bay find of Birkenstock's in "Dorian" aren't they so fun? Paris & the eiffel tower on them. It makes me smile.

Progress with my artwork at the gift shop has been made in a definite meeting with the owner to look over my work this Thursday. woo-hoo I'm getting excited.

I've had a bit of fortunate news this week on a personal note. I will have a local gift shop / boutique selling some of my art! It's still in the works but I hope to meet with the owner again this week.

I also met with the owner of the local scrapbook store & she would like to have me teach some classes of my choosing!

woo-hoo! I am thrilled with both bits of good news!

What can I say about my sweet friend Donna Cook she is such a talented girl. Donna aka: Bonnie Blue Denim did a fun make & take folded photo holder. I was able to pick my stamp design & try my skills at inking & embossing. Can you call a heat gun thingy a power tool? Well I got to use it anyway!

As previously mentioned I've been lucky enough to see this fine musician perform for the past 2 yrs. at Convenzione & this yr. also attended one of Jon's living room tour performances.

Yep you can see him live & in person in your own house!

I am always amazed at musicians that perform music that they have written & arranged themselves. Jon has so much talent!

Lisa's class was Great the girls in it were so much fun & very talented.

Lynne took the same classes as me so that was great. We got to meet the dynamic duo of sisters; Yvonne & Jennifer. These 2 gals I so wish were my sisters! They are so FUN! Iva Wilcox was as usual amazing & created a gorgeous vintage themed stage she is a genius! Lynne did the most amazing small box theatre & even made pantiloons on her marionette! Joan aka Aurora was so hilarious & sweet Lisa & her are trully best friends. I absolutely adored all of these ladies!

We worked most of the day but time just flew. I will post more again soon.

Chel the Queen as always tries to think of everything & she succeeds.

I had to switch planes 3 times going & coming & rode the "Bart" to get there enduring the swine flu scare, but it was all worth the layovers & everything!

Opening night I met Lynne again who was so gracious & kind. She played hostess to myself & Melissa the entire time. We had a lot in common & it was nice to share.

Jon is amazing he plays concerts in your living room. He is so talented writing & singing his own songs. I've been privledged to see him several times now & it's well worth it.

These were some lil cutie items I treated myself to. I loved the nail polish bottles. The doll is a mini japanese ball joint pullip "Queen of Hearts"

These dolls are so funny huge heads & tiny feet. I am going to make one in a larger version I've ordered some parts all the way from Japan & am a bit excited I used to make porcelain dolls & am a member of UFDC so yes I'm into dollies. Usually I'm very partial to the oldies but I'm a bit eclectic.

I've recently brought home a few dolls thanks to the 2 doll shows here in Ohio I regularly attend & E-Bay & my friend Lynne.

I just got back this morning from ZNE's Convenzione! I got to meet the super diva of fun Mz Lisa Kettell herself & her super fun Mom Joan. I will never forget the awesome good time we had!

I am trully looking forward to leaving Ohio for California this Wed. It's time for ZNE's annual Convenzione in Pleasanton, CA. I was lucky enough to go last year & take a class with the master of solder Sally Jean Alexander. She was Fabulous & I loved my "little pink house"

I met some super great artistic women! It will be wonderfl to see some again & meet others.

This year I'm lucky enough to go again & stay with the sweet Lyn "Glyterbug."

I will be taking 2 classes one with Iva Wilcox to make a "fairy Lamp" She is so mega talented, & I can't wait to see her again. This lamp is incredible in the picture I'm in awe!

Second I'm taking Lisa Kettell's "marionette theatre" class. Her stuff is right up my alley just ask my 12 yr old. When choosing classes he said "Mom that looks like something you'd make." Lisa is a super artist & blogger too & I'm looking forward to meeting her in person.

I have been on for awhile now & post almost all of my creations there.

I'm also in many groups. I've participated in some super swaps as well & interacted with so many Fabulous artists.

Moo cards are something you can create on Flickr & for a reasonable fee have them professionally printed in England! You choose your photo, type, etc. Mine were made from pics of several of my pieces. You have total control. They are super for mini business cards. The colors PoP! I also tuck them in my swaps & have traded with other artists.

How crazy fun is that?

Little Mermaid

Hello my pretty little mermaids. These photos are of my version of the story "Little Mermaid" created for the Vintage Ephemera Group's "Once Upon A Fairytale Swap."

My oh so sweet partner noted that this was a favorite story of hers well how could I resist. You know I have a fondness for creating mermaids. Julie took these photos & posted them on Flickr.

So my little mermaid is appropriatly living with Julie aka: Cupcake DD now in sunny California close to the water no doubt!

Art-In-A-Carton

If you recall from a previous post I was asked to participate in a swap "Art-in-a-Carton" You create some artsy pieces & mail them off in a carton (or carton type item) to 3 fellow artists.

Cathy Minerva was the great lady that started me on to this. She sent some fun goodies in a can & I too used this idea. We don't drink anything in cartons so .... I found these fun little paint cans (at Menards) that I just covered in paper & embellished.

Then the fun task of filling them hmmmm I decided to include the things I love to make so that was simple;

1. mermaid shell ornie

2. pixie's in a pail,

3. faux cupcake,

4. fairy ATC's,

5. paper doll,

6. altered envelope,

7. art goodies (found objects)

So that in a nutshell er paint can is my version of art-in-a-carton

Spring has sprung - well almost......

In honor of tomorrow kicking off spring here are some of my newest items I'm calling Sorbet Jewels. I'm making bracelets & earrings (sterling silver plated wire) with all glass beads.

I was hoping to create some "Carnival Art" in honor of the day, but alas time got away from me please enjoy my photos, & try some of this super easy melt in your mouth Recipe for Caramel Corn.

Hulless Caramel Corn Puffs

1 bag hulless / puff corn
1 stick butter
1/4 white Karo syrup
1/2 tsp salt

Microwave above ing. on high for 2 min. Take out & stir. Microwave again on high for 2 min. Take out add 1 teaspoon vanilla, & 1 teaspoon baking soda. Mix well. Pour 1/2 of mixture over puff corn in large brown grocery bag. Shake well. Microwave on high for 90 seconds. Remove & shake well. Add remaining mixture, shake well. Microwave 90 seconds, remove shake well. Micowave another 90 seconds. Remove, shake well, Spread on wax paper to cool.

Spring Fever

Celebrate spring by decorating your breakfast egg cup with fresh blades of grass. Simply place a few green leaves around the edges of the cup before the egg. Breakfast becomes a spring surprise.

Where is spring? It finally (here in Ohio) hit 5o today & people were trully rejoicing. Seems we are all a bit more than ready for it. With spring comes fun & pretty artsy ideas & decorating. I love the shabby chic & pastel look. The estate auctions / garage sales & just plain fresh air! It's a wonderful time to shop for those oh so old & discarded vintage treasures. Right now I frequent several thrift stores & it makes my day when I find something special.

I also look forward to the flower gardens. I'm a perennial grower with a few containers for annuals. I have to get some of my favorite Pansy every year. Last year I started a darling little Fairy Garden. Do you know about these? :0) It began long ago in Victorian times with little girls tending their own wee flower gardens basically so that Mother could get things done. The fairy gardens can be rustic or not. It's a very personal thing. It's very interesting that they now have developed actual wee or miniature plants - How adorable right? Yes! I even had a miniature evergreen tree. I don't think it survived the winter but most everything else did hopefully. I'll take a picture when it's back this SPRING! Until then fairy wishes your way.

I'm going to scale back on my swap-bot addiction it's given me great experience in creating ATC's, aprons, dotees, matchboxes. All things I hadn't dabbled in prior. I need to make some extra time for my other art. I keep thinking I need to market more, somehow. Locally it's a bust which is ever frustrating. Every show I do I get so many compliments but alas not as productive sales as I'd hoped. I do far better on the internet, soooo. Hmmmm Time is not my friend. I'm a night owl prefer to work at night due to less interruptions. It's pretty hard to squeeze it all in with work right now. I've read alot lately on people that made it work via Etsy, Kellie over at http://www.papercatdesigns.blogspot.com/ her work is amazing I might add. (thanks for all the kind words). So many of my talented girls are getting published Kudos - someday I'll be there with ya. Do you ever wish you didn't have to sleep? :)

I have always been fascinated with things like Horoscopes, Color Therapy etc. Also right / left brain (since I'm left handed.) Well I'm one of these people that just can't fit in the box it's so hard to pin me down to Just 1 favorite movie, or book or flavor, or Color. I mean why limit yourself. I love the whole box of crayons ya know?

Everyone loves chocolate right? Well I'm smiling because I received some oh so yummy treats via swap-bot's unique chocolate bar swaps recently. I'm hosting another swap over on Swap-bot this time it's my newest addiction (besides aprons, & cupcakes), ATC's. You know those crazy cute artist trading cards. I admittedly was late jumping on the band wagon for these. When I went to Cali for the ZNE convenzione some of the girls swapped a few with me. (Tina & Connie) these little cards were awesome! Well swap bot got me going & I love that I can whip these out fairly quickly. Hence I still get my dose of art / creativity in even if a short stint. You may have seen my previous post where I had a heavy heart. I had been given more bad news then good regarding several friends. I have to think that good things will come their way in health, happiness, employment, etc.

I too had a bit of concern after trotting off to my first Mammogram the very next day I got a phone call my dear son not knowing that this was any cause for alarm waited until I got home from work to tell me. Now it's Friday evening & of course I have to wait until Monday. I tell myself reassuredly that it's out of my hands. Monday they give me the news there is an "abnormal mass on the right breast." I need to come in soon for the Ultrasound. I schedule it for 1 -1/2 wks later because that's my next week day off. Well long story short it was all OK! Today the tech could not find the mystery "nodule" nor could the Dr that reviewed it! Phew! I go back in 6 mo. for mammo #2. Now I encourage everyone to follow through I know I just did it because now that I'm 41 it's the thing to do. It can happen to anyone, so let's stay on top of it.

Here they are some of the many aprons I've been sewing up for my swap-bot swaps. My latest was the Valentines one & I really liked the fabric. I'm quite into these lil aprons & now I know why Lucy & June liked to wear them so much! The funny thing is I swore off of sewing. I was one of those misfortunates that had- a traumatic Home Ec experience - yes it's true I almost single handedly failed Clothing 101! Yes we had prehistoric machines that barely functioned but I trully don't know what happened. It's true that it was 20 some years ago. I admit time has worn me down, well that & cute fabric & that vintage cuteyness of aprons! I'm getting better but sista you won't catch me quilting just yet. So there it is lesson learned I will never say never! :)

As I faced my Maker at the last judgment, I knelt
before the Lord along with all the other souls.

Before each of us laid our lives like the squares
of a quilt in many
piles; an angel sat before each of us sewing our
quilt squares together into a tapestry that is our life.

But as my angel took each piece of cloth off the
pile, I noticed how ragged
and empty each of my squares was. They were filled with giant holes. Each
square was labeled with a part of my life that had
been difficult, the
challenges and temptations I was faced with in
every day life. I saw hardships that I endured, which were the largest holes of all.

I glanced around me. Nobody else had such
squares. Other than a tiny hole here and there, the other tapestries were filled
with rich color and the bright hues of worldly fortune. I gazed upon my own
life and was disheartened.

My angel was sewing the ragged pieces of cloth together, threadbare and empty, like binding air.

Finally the time came when each life was to be
displayed, held up to the the scrutiny of truth. The others rose; each
in turn, holding up their tapestries. So filled their lives had been.
My angel looked upon me, and nodded for me to rise.

My gaze dropped to the ground in shame. I hadn't
had all the earthly fortunes. I had love in my life, and laughter. But
there had also been trials of illness, and wealth, and false
accusations that took from me my
world, as I knew it. I had to start over many
times. I often struggled with
the temptation to quit, only to somehow muster the strength to pick up and
begin again. I spent many nights on my knees in
prayer, asking for help and
guidance in my life. I had often been held up to
ridicule, which I endured
painfully, each time offering it up to the Father
in hopes that I would not
melt within my skin beneath the judgmental gaze of
those who unfairly judged me.

And now, I had to face the truth. My life was
what it was, and I had to accept it for what it was.
I rose and slowly lifted the combined squares of
my life to the light.

An awe-filled gasp filled the air. I gazed around
at the others who stared at me with wide eyes.

Then, I looked upon the tapestry before me. Light
flooded the many holes,
creating an image, the face of Christ. Then our
Lord stood before me, with
warmth and love in His eyes. He said, "Every time
you gave over your life
to Me, it became My life, My hardships, and My
struggles.

Each point of light in your life is when you
stepped aside and let Me shine
through, until there was more of Me than there was
of you."

May all our quilts be threadbare and worn, allowing
Christ to shine through!

Last night I attended my monthly Doll Club meeting. I'm the youngest member & attend with primarily all senior ladies. We discuss different dolls & have a program, it's very educational. I joined back when I was creating a lot of reproduction porcelain antique dolls & thought it would be helpful. I enjoy these girls so much & last night's program was very educational discussing the history of quilts. The poem was read & was so striking I had to share it. I hope you too enjoy it. My heart is somewhat heavy as I've had some bad news this week but I must believe in the positive, so chin up for now & we shall see what comes.

Today is my 41st woo-hoo! Nothing special planned I'm off & just relaxing mainly yeah! The boys gave me X-box 360's Dance Dance Revolution. Let me tell you it's hilariously funny. It even has a calorie counter so I may just get skinny! It's a hoot & could be black-mail photo ror sure.

The pincushion swap is off to a great start & 25 participants I'm looking forward to seeing the outcome. Will keep you posted.

I've been away from the net for a while. At Thanksgiving I had 9 guests come from out of state, I started a new job in November & am working a bit more. Things were a bit scary since I was losing my job. Fortunately I went straight into a new one. I'm just thankful for a J-O-B. I also as previously mentioned started doing more swaps. Go to www.swap-bot.com it's so terribly addicting. Because of this I 've made my first apron, dotee dolls, & ATC's. Wow what a blast. I've gotten things from as far away as Germany. I have joined the addicting life of Swaps. If you aren't familiar it is when you create a piece of art with a theme & send it off to a fellow artist in another state or country even. It can be a lot of fun. I enjoy it because your giving to a person that also shares your interests most likely & the potential for great friendship is also there. I have been burned already & I've only been at it a few months. This is very disappointing & I could rant about it but I am a believer in what goes around comes around. At any rate this pic is of my Lollipop sweet treat Fairy ATC. Would you believe it's the first time I've made an ATC. Join a swap today it's very well worth it!

Faux Strawberry Cake

Here is a pic of one of my Faux cake creations. I sold this cake to "Poppy" via Etsy & she was taking a pic to show me how well it worked on her cake plate, when her adorable daughter modeled with it! I just thought it was so cute. Isn't she sweet as pink sprinkles? I explained I needed a good cake model as my boys 15 & 11 are not into modeling with faux cakes alas she said go right ahead & use the pic :) too sweet!

ZNE Convenione

Hello Fabulous Friends! I had the best time in California at the first annual ZNE Convenzione. Welcome to my new home "Little pink House" created in Sally Jean Alexander's workshop. I must say creating this was very fun & freeing. I just let it go & was pretty happy with the end result. Mz Sally Jean was so kind & gracious. She's a lovely person.

I met so many great people as well - The friendship's gained were amazing! Special thanks to Chel & Donna my lil angels that made sure I got where I needed to go :) Cheers to my fab dinner partners (that includes ice-cream for supper), super roomies, fun classmates! I could go on forever but just know I want to do it again soon!

I'm just tingly over leaving in a few short hours for my Art class through the fabulous group ZNE it's the first annual Convenzione. (www.zneart.com) I stumbled upon this group online & the networking, friendship, & inspiration is trully amazing. I can't begin to tell you what it means to meet more of these fab ladies. I'm taking a class called "Little Pink Houses" by: SallyJean Alexander! (not the exact house I'm making in pic but 3/4")
I'll be sure to write more when I return I'm leaving cyber world behind at home for a few days. I'll take pics too!

Mid week / Angels among us

Well it's been a fairly calm week thus far.

I have had some chronic pain for some time now in my upper neck. I had tried Chiropractor & M.D. but nothing was working. A few weeks ago I went to a different Chiro who practices subluxation which is spinal alignment. This man has offered me such hope. He diagnosed my problem through X-Rays & refuses to "crack" me stating that is not going to help with my ligament damage. So to make a long story short I'm going in 3 days a week along with stretching exercises & by gum I can see a difference in just 2 weeks! Wow! I just had to share because I'm so in awe.

I had a good weekend & survived the heat during square fair. I was very happy with how my booth looked. Here's some pics of it.

I also was able to get my haircut, chair massage, & manicure which was lovely! Proceeds went to local cancer center so it was win win all around. I feel like a semi new woman. Ha

Now it's back to work today - mini vacation is over :( oh well...

This weekend I will be having a booth at Lima, Ohio's Square Fair on Friday Aug. 1st - Saturday Aug. 2nd 12:00 - 9:00.

I will have my crystal / sterling Bracelets, Altered Art pieces, & Faux Cakes / Cupcakes. Along with some custom order created children's canvas personalized crown wallhangings.

The weather should be great & the food & bands also promise to be super!

I'm looking forward to it & hoping for a Super day!
